The best fiestas patrias

well well well, my Fiestas patrias were alright.

For the first few days I went to my little Town called San Jose de Maipo, to see my family and eat the not so great food that my mum cooks. I was really sick those days so could not do much, just stay in bed and wach Gossip Girl (guilty pleasure).

After that i came back to Santiago to attend the Yein fonda with a couple of school friends, it was a fun time, mainly because I was pretty drunk of the 2 one litter terremotos that i drank, and because I saw Los Tres, surprisingly, after all the years they sound really good. When we were leaving the show the cops  took me to the police office because I was carring a swiss knife (my bad hahah).

The last two days i was suposed to do university work, but instead i just wached Gossip Girl (again), and played, Death Stranding, Valorant, and Elden Ring, all computer games muejejeje.

 Correction

well well well one of my best friends es called José Tomás Silva (Joseto for short). We met in school, when i transfered to Almenar del Maipo in 8th grade. He was my first and, pretty much, only friend for 2 or 3 years, which i dont really understand much, because at that time i was really shy and upthight, always in my head thinking of my hardships as a teenager, not talking much. Now that i think about it i guess we are the same in that regard, and even though we dont talk much we understand each other perfectly, sharing the same core values and beliefs.

probably our first common interest was music, both liking american rap. I still remember when in class he showed me a video from the song "Gold" by Brockhampton, wich i really liked and became one of my favorite, listening all summer.

Now he is working in Singapur in a tech startup, doing an intership for 6 months.

The best five things of all the time

Song: A fond farewell by Eliott Smith (2004)

Theres a not many songs that no matter the time of day or hat im feeling can fully enjoy, and a fond farewell is one of them. i have a lot of fond memories atached to this song, espetially memories about love, about how hard and unfair is most of the time. Its a same space that i can go no matter the situation im in, and i will feel that im not alone. the fact it is a posthumous makes it the more hard hitting and "real".

Movie: Paris, Texas by Wim Wenders (1984)

Win Wenders is my favorite director, because the movies depict life witouht any agenda behind, they almost feel like documentaies about people that dosent talk much, but you can sitll relate to them in such a profund way, and that is exactly how i feel about Paris, Texas. Every time a wached it i ended up crying but in a cathartic way, it makes me feel light and pure, like i have all the time on the world to do all the things that a want to, and i dont have to worry because all will have a solution.

Piece of technology: my headphones (audiotechnica m50x)

Probably it's not my most useful item or the one that i use the most, but is the the one who has brought me the most joy.

Book: Brave New World by Aldous Huxley (1932)

I remenber reading it in a crucial time in my life, it made so much sense at that time, and still does it today, but it was kinda like, the right thing at the right time, you know. The book posed me with a lot of cuestions that pushed me to keep reading, and cuestioning the things around me, and i it is one of my most valuable qualities.

Trinket: my bracelet

I remember that when a bought it i was so nervous because it was really expensive for me at that time (was around 60 mil pesos), and i have never spent that much money in something of that kind. i was afraid of what my family would say when they saw me wearing it, that they would judge me in a negative way. It is probally the trinket that has lasted me the most in my life (i have a tendency of losing things) and it opened the vision about my personal freedom and what in interested in.

BEN

Friends come in all shapes and sizes and can be met in numerous ways, through childhood, work, or online. They provide support during war, contributing to our physical and mental well-being. Worldwide, friendships across borders promote peace, which led the UN to establish International Day of Friendship on July 30. Originating from a 1958 initiative by Dr. Ramón Artemio Bracho in Paraguay, this day celebrates the value of friendship worldwide, with different dates for each country.

The G.O.A.T

So one of my best friends is José Tomás Silva (Joseto for short). we met in school, when i arrived to "Almenar del Maipo" in octavo basico. I remember he was my first, and pretty much, only friend for 2 or 3 years, wich i dont really understand because at the time i was really shy and uptight, always in my head thinking about my problems, not really talking much. I suposse that he was (and probably still is) the same in that aspect. We really dont talk much but we understand perfectly, and we value the same core beliefs and morals. Probably the first link that kept us close was music. At that time we both really liked American mainstream rap.
I still remember when in class he told me that he found a really cool rap group, and that i must listen, showing me the video from the song "Gold" by Brockhampton. From that point on, Brockhampton became one our favorite artists, listening to them all summer, their off the wall and cachy songs (Shoutout to Kevin Abstract and Bearface).
